Awash in drought

BARRYVILLE — While New Jersey and New York City are implementing drought emergency water usage restrictions, intermittent rain in recent weeks has helped keep the Delaware River at near-normal-appearing spring levels. City reservoirs had risen to 57 percent of capacity on April 1, but still remain 38 percent below average seasonal levels.
