‘The Majestic’ meets
the Milford Theatre

MILFORD — “The Majestic,” a Capra-esque drama about the McCarthy era starring Jim Carrey, will be shown through January 3 at the historic Milford Theatre at Catherine and 4th Streets.

The theme of the movie is fitting—it deals with a small-town theater reopening—since the first-run showing of the film marks the Milford Theatre’s reopening, under the management of the not-for-profit Black Bear Film Festival, Inc.

According to Black Bear’s spokesperson, Gabriela Arizan, the theater will be used primarily for movies, although it might be available for other community events.
