PennDOT extends Rt. 434

PIKE COUNTY — State officials have decided to extend a familiar Shohola Township state highway south into Blooming Grove.

The state road that was designated as State Route 1001 (Well Road) between the intersection of US Route 6, PA Route 434 in Blooming Grove Township and PA Route 739 in Lords Valley, will now be signed as PA Route 434. Once the signs are installed, PA Route 434 will run from Shohola all the way to the intersection with PA Route 739 in Lords Valley (see map, above). The route number change is being made to better serve drivers and new businesses along Well Road in Pike County.

The signs are expected to be installed within a month.
