A trail
of lights
REGION — On Christmas Eve, miles of roads in the
region will be lit by candles. These luminaries have become an annual
tradition over the past decade, growing every year. This year, local
routes include, but are not limited to:
Bethel: Beginning in the center of Kauneonga
Lake, at the town square, and leading to the Woodstock site.
Brisco: Fairweather Road.
Callicoon Center: Hessinger-Lare, Hust,
Wahl and Schandalee Roads and County Road 123.
Cochecton: Bernas, Devils, Shortcut and
Neering Roads near Lake Huntington; between Route 17B and Cochecton
Center and Route 52. The group will meet up with Narrowsburg’s effort
in Lava.
Fremont Center: County Road 94 between Route
97 and Obernburg.
Jeffersonville: Branch, Schafer, Polster
and Villa Roma Road, County Road 164 and the newly added section
at Rt. 52 from Sal’s Pizzeria in Kohlertown to Stewart-Murphy Funeral
Home.
Narrowsburg: Interstate bridge, Bridge Street
and Kirk Road to Peck’s Plaza, Main Street, Erie Avenue, School
Street, the Flats, Routes 97 and 52 to Lava, Gables Road from Lava
to Route 97.
North Branch: County Roads 95 and 128.
Obernburg: County Road 94 and 95 to North
Branch.
Youngsville: Old Danzer Road, County Roads
127 and 125.
Damascus, PA: Route 371 between the interstate
bridge and the Rileyville Corners.
