draws crowd
SOUTH FALLSBURG — More than 240 people attended
the Monticello Goshen Chapter USHWA’s 43rd Annual Awards Banquet
at the Raleigh Hotel on October 28.

Star basketball camp registration
NATIONAL — Registration is now open for the 10-Star
All Star summer basketball camp, which is by invitation only.
There is both an Individual All Star camp and a
Team All Star camp. For the Individual camp, boys and girls ages
10 through 19 are eligible to apply, and for the team camp, both
school and A.A.U. Boys, ages 14 through 19, are eligible.
Past participants include Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan,
Vince Carter, Jerry Stackhouse, Grant Hill and Anatawn Jamison.
Individual camp locations include New York, California,
Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota,
North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas,
Virginia and Washington.
Team All Star camp locations include California,
Florida, Indiana, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

Breaking
new ground
HAWLEY — Ground was broken on October 15 for the
start of the construction on an indoor sport complex in Woodloch
Springs.
John Kiesendahl and son, Bob, were present at the
groundbreaking ceremony, as well as many people from the community.
“We are proud to be able to consistently improve
upon the quality of life in the Springs’ community,” said Kiesendahl.
The new 18,000-square-foot sports complex will
feature an indoor pool, sauna, exercise room, locker rooms, sports
shop, game room and multi-purpose room.
Completion of the complex is set for Memorial Day,
2002.
