The morning of September 11 changed the New York City skyline and millions of lives.

Liberty state trooper Tom Meyer is pictured Saturday behind a barricade at Canal and Greenwich streets. Many local agencies sent police and equipment to assist, including Highland and Lumberland Constables.

Donated food and other supplies, by the shipping pallet, were abundant near the collapse site. Authorities, by Monday, began asking that donors limit their gifts to cash.

Rubble three to four stories high is pictured on the West Street approach.

Thousands of Americans have offered their help in the form of services, goods, monetary donations and other support for those most affected by the terrorist attacks.
