County introduces new net capabilities

MONTICELLO — County Chief Information Officer Dick Robinson is pictured September 6 as he demonstrated capabilities of Sullivan’s new “intra-net” system.

Robinson described the intranet, an in-house closed computer network as a “draft” service for officials to access and update material on the county’s public website. In past, county programmers needed to change all data for the Internet site. The new net will allow individual officials to personally post and remove material from the site.

The net, available at Sullivan’s in-house computers at county offices, is also available to officials with access keys from their home computers.
