The following is the mission statement of The River Reporter.

The River Reporter is a thought-provoking weekly community newspaper that contains good writing and photography and accurate reporting, with a focus on literature, the arts, the environment, and personal health. The River Reporter chronicles and promotes self-empowerment, community unity and tolerance.
