Barons come to Costa’s

and autographs from Dominique.
Children in uniform received free ice cream
from Costa’s, and many received baseball memorabilia as well.

West dominates
summer tourney

LOCH SHELDRAKE — Last week, the Sullivan County
Community College (SCCC) Summer Basketball Tournament ended with
two championship finals, one for boys and another for girls.
Both teams from Sullivan West (SW) won their divisions.
The SW girls beat Ellenville
by a score of 59 to 25. In the boys’ division, SW defeated Fallsburg
54 to 47.
SW’s Tiffany Hauser scored 14 points, while teammate
Megan Moran added 12.
High scorer for Ellenville was Samantha Ellis and
Brienne Karow, both with eight points.
High scorers for SW boys were Mike Ahnstrom with
17 and Justin Pinkel with 12.
Fallsburg high scorers were Zaguan Hillard with
14 and Lionel White with 12.
Other participating teams were: Boys — Downsville,
Grahamsville and Livingston Manor. Girls — Livingston Manor, Margaretville,
Roscoe, Tri-Valley, Liberty and Fallsburg.

raceway
MONTICELLO — The 11th annual Ms. Monticello Raceway
Beauty Pageant will take place at the raceway on the stage in front
of the grandstand on Sunday, August 26. There will also be a Little
Ms. Monticello Raceway Pageant. The pageant are sponsored by Larry
Roman.
The pageant is open to all women, age 16 years
or older, married or single.
The Little Ms Monticello Raceway pageant is open
to girls up to eight years of age. There is no fee to enter either
pageant.
