DAMASCUS — Set among rolling hills and fields, the Lookout Sculpture Park saw its first year on the Catskill Art Society’s (CAS) self-guided Studio Tour from July 13 to 15.

The park “focuses on international exchange through educational programs and residencies, with an emphasis on healing and preserving the environment.”

Featuring steel sculpture, like the ones pictured, as well as ceramic and bronze, CAS tourers were invited to take a hike through Lookout’s meadow to examine the towering works more closely.

This year marked the sixth annual CAS Studio Tour, which allows art lovers to visit the workspaces of regional artists and craftspeople. Other mediums seen on the tour include encaustic painting, pottery, photography, woodcarving, oil and acrylic works and handmade dolls.
