By TOM KANE

TUSTEN — The Tusten Republican Party announced its slate of candidates last week for November elections.

They are: supervisor, two-year term: incumbent Richard Crandall town council, four-year term: incumbent Charles Knapp highway superintendent, four-year term: incumbent Nathaniel “Skip” Faegles justice, four-year term: incumbent Alfred Smith justice, unexpired two-year term: incumbent Thomas Nuttycombe town clerk, two-year term: incumbent Carol Wingert.

Each candidate must collect a petition of signatures from five percent of registered Republicans before his or her name is included on the ballot, usually about 60 signatures.

Petitions must be submitted to the county board of elections by July 12.
