Ya gotta regatta

CALLICOON — The Callicoon Regatta, part of the Delaware Grand Slam Canoe Race, will take place on Sunday, July 8. Check-in time is 9:45 a.m. The race will begin in Hankins and finish in Callicoon, a distance of 7.3 miles.

The entry fee is $15 per person; entrants 14 and under in the Adult/Youth category are free. First registrants will receive a free T-shirt and all racers receive a free meal.

There is a race for everyone. Recreational classes, Men C-1 and C-2, mixed, women C-1 and C-2, adult/youth (14 and under) C-2, Kayak C-2 Camp/Scout/High School Youth Group/14 to 18 years of age. Competition will be mens, women, mixed, C-1 and C-2 and kayak.
