Children’s Fest 2001

By SANDRA DECKELMAN

HONESDALE —The threat of rain did not discourage the 1,500 people who came out to support Bethany Children’s House, a Montessori pre-school, on Saturday, June2 at its annual Children’s Fest. This year’s event was held at the Wayne County Fair Grounds and boasted sixty booths filled with games, activities and giveaways for children of all ages.

Children could ride an ATV at Tri-State Sport Centers ATV track, help dig a hole on a mini excavator courtesy of Rent-Equip, or listen to live music on the stage at the fair grounds. Other activities included face painting, beaded key chains, water balloon throws and a tour of a fire truck and police car.

All proceeds go to benefit Bethany Children’s House.
