Rain hampered some outdoor activities, but the region got half a weekend out the past Memorial Day holiday, as showers thinned out late Sunday and the sun put in some welcome appearances on Monday.

Livingston Manor Little Leaguers, right, are pictured during the playing of Taps at  annual Memorial Day Parade activities on Pearl Street. Threatening weather held down attendance at the morning festivities on May 28.  More than 100 persons and a variety local groups and organizations turned out to march.
