Two-car accident on Bridge Street

By TOM KANE

NARROWSBURG — Two cars collided on Bridge Street at the parking lot of St. Francis Xavier Church on May 25, at 2:15 p.m.

Elizabeth Creamer, 77, of Beach Lake was making a left turn out of the parking lot and did not see the other car, driven by Michael Laverty, 39, of Narrowsburg. Creamer’s view was obstructed by an illegally parked vehicle at a crosswalk, according to trooper Tim Dowling.

The Tusten Volunteer Ambulance Service took both drivers to Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale. Both were treated and dismissed a few hours later.

The owner of the parked car, Stephen Daley of Lava,  was issued a parking ticket. It was the only ticket issued.
