Narrowsburg man jailed for sexual abuse

By TOM KANE

NARROWSBURG — Narrowsburg resident Howard Kuen was arrested on Saturday evening and arraigned in Town of Thompson for alleged sexual abuse of a young girl.

The abuse started when the girl was four, according to Thompson Justice Martin Miller. The young woman, who is now in her teens, is not related to Kuen, he said.

“The charge is first degree sexual abuse, a felony,” Miller said. No other charges have been filed.

“If he makes bail, he must have no contact in any manner with the young woman,” Miller said.

Kuen is being held in Sullivan County Jail pending further court action on May 15.
