HONESDALE — Seven employees of Narrowsburg Lumber’s Designer Kitchens on Route 6 in Honesdale were overcome by carbon monoxide poisoning at midday on February 12.

Six received oxygen inhalation treatment at Wayne Memorial Hospital and were released. One is being held for more treatment and observation.

“One of our three heating furnaces got gummed up and started expelling carbon monoxide,” said Narrowsburg owner Donald Collins.

Collins said all three furnaces were being replaced. The company will close the location for a few days in order to accomplish the replacements.

White Mills Fire Department responded to the incident.
