ANNA GEBA

GLEN SPEY - Anna Geba of Glen Spey, a longtime area resident, died Thursday, October 26, 2000. She was 96.

Daughter of the late Ivan and Pilahia Husak Hladun, she was born July 10, 1904 in Cherche, Ukraine. She was the widow of Gregory Geba.

She was a member of St. Volodymyr's Ukrainian Church in Glen Spey and the Ukrainian Women's League in the Ukraine.

Survivors include a son, John of Glen Spey; a daughter-in-law, Maria of Staten Island; six grandchildren, Alexandra DiToro, Gregory P. Geba, Donna Geba Hrabarchuk, Katherine Landgraf, Linda LiGreci and Bohdan N. Geba; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Bohdan; two daughters, Daria and Lydia; and a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth C.

A Liturgy Mass was offered at St. Volodymyr's Ukrainian Church in Glen Spey. The Rev. Marko Hirniak officiated. Burial was in the Glen Spey Cemetery.

PAUL JAMES GULLY

HAWLEY - Paul James Gully of Hawley, a retired security guard at Haverford College in Haverford, and a four-year area resident, died Monday, October 23, 2000 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale. He was 77.

Son of the late Patrick and Mary Gully, he was born in Philadelphia.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include two nephews, John Highland and wife Joni and Paul Highland, both of Folscroft; and a great-niece, Jacquelyn Highland.

A private memorial service will be held by the family. Cremation took place at Maple Hill At Salem in Archbald.

OLGA D. TELOWSKY

HONESDALE - Olga D. Telowsky of Honesdale, a retired presser for the Katz Underwear Company of Honesdale, and a lifelong area resident, died Saturday, October 21, 2000 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale.

Daughter of the late John and Stephania Smolley Telowsky, she was born in Olyphant.

She was a member of St. Tikhon's Monastery in South Canaan and was a treasurer for the Friends of St. Tikhon's, and a member of St. Mary's Society.

Survivors include a brother, Joseph with whom she resided; three sisters, Julia Zielinski of Seelyville, Barbara Barns of Waymart and Lillian Kuhner of Lincoln, NE; nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Anna Zinsky and Mary Duda.

Services took place at St. Tikhon's Monastery in South Canaan. Burial was in St. Tikhon's Cemetery.

FRANCES E. WOLFE KOSSEN

WAYMART - Frances E. Wolfe Kossen of Waymart, also Lake Teedyuskung in Hawley and Edgewater, FL, a longtime waitress at Ferdy's in Hawley, died Sunday, October 29, 2000 at Marian Community Hospital in Carbondale. She was 82.

Daughter of the late Francis Wolfe and Margaret Merritt Wolfe, she was born in New York, NY. She was the widow of Henry E. Kossen.

She was formerly owner and operator of a deli in Queens, NY. She was a member of St. Mary's R.C. Church in Waymart and former member of Queen of Peace R.C. Church in Hawley. She was a member of Wayne County Senior Citizens.

Survivors include a son, Walter and wife Molly H. of Tampa, FL; a sister, Viola Kauffeld of Waymart; a brother, Robert of Bayshore, NY; two granddaughters, Erica Armenia and Christina Cooper, both of FL; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Ronald.

A mass was offered at Queen of Peace R.C. Church in Hawley. The Rev. William B. Healey, pastor, officiated. Burial was in St. Raymond's Cemetery in the Bronx, NY.
