LAKE HUNTINGTON -- The Lake View Luncheonette on the shores of Lake Huntington has a brand new deck.

It opened for use a week ago.

"It's a little chilly now but it's going to be nice next season," said luncheonette owner Pete Christ. He and his wife Kathy have been operating the restaurant for nine years.

"We're going to renovate the inside by next spring," he said.

All the businesses in the hamlet have to spruce up, he said. "With the new high school opening in 2002, the town can't look the way it does now. We have to get ready."
