Sailing away

By KRISTA GROMALSKI

SHOHOLA - Two men took an unscheduled dip in the cold waters of Twin Lake Tuesday. Emergency crews from Shohola Township Volunteer Fire and Rescue were called to Sagamore Estates on October 3 to rescue the pair whose sailboat capsized.

It was a case of being "in the wrong place at the wrong time," said Shohola Fire Chief Don Wall.

One man remained with the craft while the other swam to shore, he said.

The men, who were unidentified at press time, were transported to Mercy Hospital in Port Jervis as a precaution after EMT's checked their vital signs.

Also on the scene were crews from Dingman Township, Milford, Highland Lake and Yulan. Dingman rescuers recovered the watercraft.
