MONTICELLO - Attorney Monroe Davis is pictured speaking before the Sullivan County Legislature on August 17th when he again unsuccessfully sought a resolution to allow petitioning toward a recall of the county charter and return to the Board of Supervisors. Davis earlier this month went to court to force the Sullivan County Legislature to act on his request.

Legislative chair Rusty Pomeroy (D-3) replied that the action Davis sought would require a local law, not just a resolution. The Legislature took no action on Davis' request.
