OBERNBURG -Forty-nine Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) members, junior advisors, and chaperones from parishes in Narrowsburg, Jeffersonville, Callicoon/Long Eddy, Livingston Manor and Obernburg assembled on the steps of St. Mary's R.C. Church in Obernburg on Sunday, August 13, before boarding their bus to the airport. They were preparing to leave for the 15th World Youth Day in Rome, Italy.

CYO members from across the United States and the world will assemble for masses, rallies, and other functions to be held in and around the Vatican. Each of the members were given NY archdiocese commemorative pins for trading at the conference. The highlight of the trip will be a mass said by Pope John Paul II.
