Triad Dance Ensemble will present "2000 Steps," an evening of innovative
and original dance pieces, at the Seelig Theatre on Saturday July
29. Curtain is at 8:00 p.m. This respected, modern dance company
will premiere works by Loretta Thomas, Blake France, Daria Aikens
and company director, Karen MacIntyre.
MacIntyre's new work, Mask, is a collaboration with poets Mary
Greene and Dale Laszig, musician Pattie Smith and dancer Loretta
Thomas. MacIntyre says, "The piece borrows faces from three lives
and weaves them together with the common thread of the human condition."
Poet Mary Greene adds, "Issues of memory and denial, how humans
find comfort and oblivion and eventually reach an understanding
larger than themselves, comprise the themes of Mask."
