CALLICOON - After announcing a $50,000 grant for river projects
for towns along the Delaware River, Senator John Bonacic last week
announced another $50,000 will go to the Town of Delaware for new
sidewalks in Callicoon.
"This part of the county sometimes can be the forgotten place,"
Bonacic said. "We want to change that." Bonacic also stated that
requests for the funding to improve the sidewalks came from several
local officials.
"This is a very welcome project that will help the hamlet considerably,"
said Rosie DeCristofaro former president of the Callicoon Business
Association.
"The Callicoon business area plays a critical role in the economy
of the Town of Delaware," added councilman Brad Mallett.
