MAY 22

SW/Narrowsburg 22, The Family School 3

In a WSL game in Narrowsburg, Kim Jay led the home team over The Family School with five RBI's. Jay was 4 for 5. Also for Narrowsburg (8-8, 5-6 WSL), Erin Richardson went 2 for 2 and Jen Peloquin was 2 for 4 with two RBI's. For The Family School (0-13, 0-10 WSL) Lori McLEod led 2 for 3 with two doubles.

MAY 23

Roscoe 14, The Family School 5

Stacy Fersch and Kelly Ahart had two runs apiece as host Roscoe (9-5, 7-4 WSL) pounded The Family School (0-14, 0-11 WSL) for a WSL win. Mary Kate Johnston, Becky Evans and Pam Buck had two hits for Roscoe.

Eldred 13, Livingston Manor 4

Led by Karin Blaut with a three hitter, Eldred (9-5, 5-4 WSL) had an easy WSL win over host Livingston Manor (3-11, 3-9 WSL). Blaut also walked two and struck out seven. Eldred's Amy Schneider went 2 for 4 with two doubles and Vicki Larson scored three runs. Alys Mann was 2 for 3 with an RBI for Livingston Manor.

Tri-Valley 17, SW/Jeff-Youngsville 8

In a WSL game in Grahamsville, Tri-Valley's Megan Sheeley scored four runs and drove in three with three hits including a double and triple, leading Tri-Valley (12-2, 10-2 WSL) to a win over SW/Jeff-Youngsville (7-4, 6-4 WSL).

Tri-Valley's Jessica Miller, Mia Kawauchi, Rachel Altbach and Heather Bachmann had two hits apiece. Heidi Monell pitched the first five innings for Tri-Valley and Mia Kawauchi pitched the final two.

Jeff-Youngsvile was led by Kelli Erlwein who was 2 for 3 with a double and two runs scored and Amanda Davis had a triple.

MAY 25

SW/Jeff-Youngsville 16, SW/Narrowsburg 3

Jeff-Youngsville (8-4, 7-4 WSL) had a big win over Narrowsburg (8-9, 5-7 WSL) in a WSL game in Narrowsburg. Jeff-Youngsville took an early 7-2 lead that remained for the rest of the game as Narrowsburg scored only one more point.

Beth Fanning had two hits and two RBI's, Shelisa Duquette had three hits and Amanda Davis contributed two hits for Jeff-Youngsville. Narrowsburg's Bessie Bernstein was 2 for 3 with an RBI.

SW/Delaware Valley 12, Livingston Manor 6

Scoring eight runs in the third inning, Delaware Valley cruised to a WSL win over Livingston Manor in Callicoon. Mariah Gillow, the winning pitcher for the Eagles (10-4, 10-4 WSL) had a double and three RBI's and Christina Head doubled and knocked in two runs. Livingston Manor's (3-12, 3-10 WSL) top scorer was Amanda Irwin with two hits that included a double.

Eldred 22, The Family School 3

Karin Blaut led Eldred (11-5, 7-4 WSL) to a huge win over The Family School in a WSL game in Eldred. Blaut was 3 for 3 with a home run, three RBI's and three runs. Eldred's Vicki Larsson was 3 for 3 and scored three runs and Aimee Schneider had a triple, single and two runs.

MAY 26

Tri-Valley 9, Eldred 6

Winning their first WSL softball title since 1993, Tri-Valley (13-2, 11-2 WSL) had a WSL win over Eldred (12-6, 8-5 WSL) that also gave them the league title. They were led by Alefia Rexford with a two-run single. Also leading the Bears was Rachel Altbach and Mia Kawauchi with two hits each.

Eldred was led by Karin Blaut with two hits and two RBI.

Eldred 5, Roscoe 4

An eighth-inning single by Ashley Bohs, driven in by Aimee Schneider, edged Eldred ahead of Roscoe for a WSL win in Grahamsville. Schneider, Kristen Borstelmann and Becky Ryman each drove in a run for Eldred. Amanda Tice had three hits including a double, also for the Yellow Jackets. For Roscoe (9-7, 7-6 WSL), Becky Evans singled in a run and Danielle Austin tripled.

MAY 30

Eldred 17, Roscoe 13

Eldred's winning pitcher Karin Blaut was 4 for 5 with four RBI's and 2 doubles. Vicki Larsson went 3 for 5 with 2 RBI's; Aimee Schneider went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI's; Amanda Tice, 2 for 5 with 1 RBI; Ashley Bohs 1 for 2 with 2 RBI's; Casey Williams, 1 for 2 with a double and 2 RBI's.

For Roscoe, pitcher Danielle Austin went 3 for 4 with a double and 1 RBI; Stacie Fersch went 3 for 5 with 1 RBI and Becky Evans went 1 for 4 with 2 RBI's.

BASEBALL

MAY 23

Livingston Manor 6, Eldred 2

Ryan Carlsson led Livingston Manor (4-10, 3-7 WSL) to a WSL win over Eldred. Carlsson stormed in with a five hitter, striking seven with no walks. Manor's Erik Roberts had a two-run single. The game tied 1-1 until four third inning runs changed that.

John Schneider had two hits for Eldred (6-6, 5-4 WSL).

Tri-Valley 17, Roscoe 1

Even though rain ended the game after five innings, there was enough time for Tri-Valley (11-4, 8-2 WSL) to pound Roscoe (0-13, 0-11 WSL) in a WSL game in Roscoe. Roscoe's only run came early in the game.

Assisting Tri-Valley with the tremendous win was John Lowitz who was 3-for-5 with two runs and Bill Garman who had a triple and scored a run. Tri-Valley also overcame three hits, three walks, and an error and turned it into seven runs.

MAY 25

SW/Delaware Valley 7, Livingston Manor 6

In a WSL game in Callicoon, Delaware Valley had a close win over Livingston Manor. Rory Carrier's two-run homer with one out in the seventh pushed his team out in front for the win. Livingston Manor had a 5-0 lead before the Eagles (10-5, 7-4 WSL) struck for five runs in the fourth. This effort was led by Ian Detch's two-run single. Manor pulled ahead until the Eagles scored with a two-run homer. Gary Hubert, the winning pitcher, tossed two scoreless innings.

Tri-Valley 24, SW/Jeff-Youngsville 6

Host Jeff-Youngsville was stampeded as Tri-Valley's Brian Garber and Durk Pearston led a 20-run sixth inning. Each of them had three hits during the amazing inning.

Garber also had five hits and he and Mike VanBourgondien had solo homeruns in the second inning for Tri-Valley (12-4, 9-2 WSL). VanBourgondien had four hits and Josh Lowitz pitched a six-hitter.

Jeff-Youngsville (11-1, 9-1 WSL) was led by Ryan O'Mara who doubled in a run.

MAY 26

Tri-Valley 12, Eldred 2

With an easy win over Eldred (8-8, 7-6 WSL), Tri-Valley (12-4, 10-2 WSL) was led by Mike VanBourgandien, Mike Sheeley, and Durk Pearston who, combined, scored five. Tri-Valley had a six-run first inning that gave them an early lead that they would maintain for the game. This game gave Tri-Valley a first place tie in the league with SW/Jeff-Youngsville. The two teams will meetin a playoff game at an undetermined date.

SW/Delaware Valley 6, SW/Jeff-Youngsville 5

Never trailing after a five-run first inning, Delaware Valley (11-5, 8-4 WSL) had a slight win over Jeff-Youngsville (10-2 WSL).

The Eagles were led by Cody Bojo with three hits, two RBI's and a run scored. Jeff-Youngsville was led Adam Hauser who had two RBI's.

Eldred 15, Roscoe 2

Steve Degerdon threw a three-hitter and struck out nine as Eldred defeated Roscoe in a WSL game in Grahamsville. Tom Butler and John Schneider each had two-run singles in the fifth inning for Eldred. Craig Vandermark added two hits and two RBI's. Roscoe is 0-14, 0-12 WSL.

SW/Narrowsburg 8, Livingston Manor 3

In a WSL game in Callicoon, Narrowsburg (6-12, 4-7 WSL) edged out Livingston Manor (3-11, 2-8 WSL) for a win. Ron Jay had two doubles, a triple, two runs, and an RBI for Narrowsburg. Indians Rob Taylor and Matt Peloquin each had two hits. Taylor had a double and two RBI's and Peloquin scored twice.

Ryan Carlsson and Scott Denman each scored a run for Livingston Manor.
