MONTICELLO, NY — Premier Care Physical Therapy has added Dr. Shane Weigand to its clinical team in Monticello. Weigand will join Drs. Michael Parlapiano and Chris McGinnis, as well as Shannon Parlapiano, physical therapist assistant. 

A native of Woodbourne and a Fallsburgh High School graduate, Weigand was thrilled to be given the opportunity to provide rehabilitation services in his lifelong community. His passion for sports has led him to a fulfilling career in physical therapy. Whether Dr. Weigand is providing post-surgical rehab, treating a sports injury or working with patients with degenerative conditions, he believes that during the rehabilitation process, the patient should be educated by their therapist in order to be able to maintain maximum flexibility and pain free living long after his work ends. 

Weigand has several years experience working in a sports orthopedics practice treating high school and college level athletes. He is a graduate of Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Science and earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Sage College
