Margaret W. (Marge) Freidenstine of Kenoza Lake, NY, a retired catalog sales manager for Montgomery Ward and a lifelong area resident, died Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale, PA. She was 95.

Rose E. McDavitt of Glen Spey, NY, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis, NY. She was 61.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Harvey C. Olsen of Hortonville, NY, a retired union electrician for Local 363 IBEW, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at CRMC in Callicoon.

According to Harvey’s wishes there will be no services.

Ellen “Mae” Poley went to be with her Lord on Monday, March 17, 2014. Mae passed away peacefully at her home in North Branch, NY. She was 93.

Funeral services were held on Friday, March 21, 2014 at the North Branch Methodist Church, 8 County Road 95, North Branch. Burial will be in the North Branch Methodist Cemetery.

Richard Thomas Schofield of Beach Lake, PA died on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Regional Hospice in Scranton. He was 54.

A mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, March 24, 2014 at St. Francis Xavier R.C. Church, Narrowsburg, NY. Father William Scully O.F.M. officiated.

Burial will take place at St. Francis Cemetery, Narrowsburg, NY in the spring.

Catherine D. Kelly Vassmer, a longtime resident of Kauneonga Lake, NY, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Riverview Manor Nursing Home in Owego, NY. She was 84.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 22 at Ramsay’s Funeral Home, 3534 State Route 5, Kauneonga Lake, NY. Rev. Bridgette LeConey officiated. Burial followed at Evergreen Cemetery in Bethel, NY.

Genevieve “Pat” Weeks of Damascus, PA, a former bus driver at Delaware Valley Central School in Callicoon, NY, died Friday, March 21, 2014 at Scranton Regional Hospital Scranton, PA. She was 71.

A memorial service celebrating Pat’s life will be held at a later date and time to be announced.
