Charles (Chuck) Leo Fitzsimmons

Charles (Chuck) Leo Fitzsimmons of Scranton, PA died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, January 3, 2013. He was 47.

Cremation was held at Maple Hill at Salem Crematory. Memorial services will be held in the spring with full military honors.

Lawrence V. Freiermuth

Lawrence V. Freiermuth of Milanville, PA died Friday evening, January 11, 2013 in the Ellen Memorial Health Care Center, Honesdale, after an illness. He was 85.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, January 16 at the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home 1228 North Main St., Honesdale, PA 18431 with Rev. Mary Bryant officiating. Interment was in the Calkins Cemetery.

John Lang

John Lang of Yulan, NY, a longtime resident of the area, died Thursday, January 10, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Place, Port Jervis, NY, with his family by his side. He was 81.

A mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, January 14, 2013 at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Yulan. Burial took place in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Eldred.

George Meyn

George Meyn of Mohican Lake, Glen Spey, NY passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Oak Hill Manor Nursing Home in Ithaca, NY. He was 90.

A memorial service was held at the Gray Parker Funeral Home, 100 East Main St., Port Jervis, NY on Wednesday, January 14. Burial will be held in Maple Grove Cemetery, 127-15 Kew Gardens Road, Kew Gardens, NY on Thursday, January 17 at 11 a.m.

Malcolm “Mac” Steel of Mill Rift, PA, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis, NY. He was 67.

William (Al) Welch, a longtime resident of Neversink, NY, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 after a short illness. He was 61.
