Three Bronx men arrested for illegal weapon possession

Three Bronx men were arrested for illegal weapon possession by the New York State Police. Kenneth Thomas, 47, Alexander Ramos, 35 and Nathaniel Nesmith, 48, were arrested criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree and criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree.

When police stopped the men on NYS Thruway for V&T violations, an investigation revealed a loaded firearm in the vehicle.

Because the firearm had been reported stolen from a Greene County residence, State Police at Catskill were contacted. Further investigation showed that the men also had other stolen property that had also been taken from the same residence. The men were taken into custody without incident.

The men were processed at SP Catskill and arraigned before T/J Joseph Farrell in the Town of New Baltimore court and were remanded to the Greene County Jail. Thomas and Nesmith were denied bail and Ramos on $25k bail and 50k bond.

State Police at Thruway- Albany and the Greene County District Attorney’s Office assisted in the investigation.
