Mrs. Mary Hendrickson of Port Jervis, NY and a long time resident of the area, died Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Bon Secours Community Hospital due to complications from Lupus. She was 56.

She was born June 10, 1955 in Nanuet, NY, the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Annette M. Sommerville Slattery.

Mary was married to her best friend Robert “Bob” Hendrickson.

She was a Life Member of the Roosa - Fleming V. F. W. Post No. 161, Ladies Auxiliary, Port Jervis, NY and she also volunteered as well.

A family statement read: “Mary loved her family and loved to have fun. She is going to be sadly missed.”

Surviving are her husband Robert “Bob” Hendrickson at home; daughters Annie Kelly and her husband Roger of Shohola, PA and Katie Hoffman of Northport, FL; son Shawn Slattery of Matamoras, PA; stepsons Robbie Hendrickson and his wife Dee of Pensacola, FL and Ray Hendrickson and his wife Cindy of Port Jervis; sister JoAnn Drake and her husband Al of Middletown, NY; three grandsons, Roger, Zachary and Shane; seven step-grandchildren, Jennifer, Rose, Raquel, Cassandra, Crystal, Jessica and Shannon; and several nephews and one niece.

She is predeceased by three sisters, Sharon Husson, Kate Michelson and Maureen Miller.

Friends may call at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis, on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a service at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will be at H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg, PA.
