HONESDALE, PA - "The Heart of A Growing Wayne County" scholarships will be awarded to deserving area students at the annual spring meeting of the Wayne Pike County Farm Bureau on Saturday night, April 14. Six area students will be awarded higher education awards at The Park Street Complex (former Stourbridge School) at the 7 pm dinner meeting for the organization.
The guest speaker will be The PA State Director of Economic Development for the USDA, Tom Williams. Williams will discuss economic opportunities and business building initiatives for rural communities such as Wayne and Pike. Resources available for agricultural grants will be presented.
The meeting is open to the public. Reservations are encouraged by calling Carole at 570/937-4162.
