William E. Schellhase, 86, of Shohola, PA passed away at Belle Reve Senior Living Center on March 15, 2012. He was 86.
The son of the late William and Jane (Whitehouse) Schellhase, he was born in Orange, NJ on March 21, 1925. He was married to the late Mary E. (Norton) Schellhase on February 15, 1947 in West Orange, NJ.
He was a retired maintenance engineer for the Veterans Administration in East Orange, NJ and a U.S. Army World War II Veteran.
Survivors include his daughter Mary Schellhase of Hamburg, NJ; sons Robert J. Schellhase of Toms River, NJ, Richard Schellhase of Union, NJ; sister Madalyn Casey of Florida; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by a son Charles Schellhase.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Patrick’s Church in Milford, PA on March 20 with the Rev. Gregory Kelly officiating.
Burial took place in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Shohola.
