Eleanor Virginia Cook, a hospitality specialist at the Villa Roma Resort in Callicoon, NY, died Monday, March 12, 2012 at Calvary Hospital, Bronx, New York. She was 85.

Daughter of the late Martin and Virginia Panarello Passante, she was born March 23, 1926, in New York City. She was the widow of William Allen Cook Jr.

Eleanor is survived by daughters Carol Cook and fiancé Brian Stauch of Callicoon and Virginia Michaels and husband Joel of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren Tiffany and Melinda Cook, Joseph and Michelle Michaels, Deborah Weber Diaz and husband Stephen, Jason Robert Weber and wife Belinda, Erika, Brian Jr. and Thomas Stauch; four great-grandchildren; step daughter Rebecca Floyd and husband Rich; daughter-in-law Sharon Weber, her brother Martin Passante and wife Marion; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is also predeceased by two sons, Paul Weber and Robert Weber; and three cousins.

A funeral mass was held on Friday, March 16, 2012 at Holy Cross Church, Callicoon.

Burial was in Callicoon Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital; or to the Sullivan County SPCA.
