Port Jervis woman arrested for stealing unemployment benefits

On September 10, 2015 the New York State Police based in Middletown arrested Dorothy James age 44 of Port Jervis, NY for illegally obtaining $4,713 in unemployment benefits.

The New York State Police working in conjunction with the New York State Department of Labor arrested Dorothy James for Grand Larceny 3rd. During the time period of February 4, 2013 through June 29th, 2014, Dorothy James received $4,713 in unemployment benefits. It was later determined that Dorothy James was in fact employed during the time period in which she was receiving the unemployment benefits.

Dorothy James was arrested and is scheduled to appear in the City of Port Jervis Court on September 16, 2015 at 9:00am.
