On Monday July 13th, 2015 the Village of Liberty Police Department arrested Larry Banks Jr., 44 of Livingston Manor after a traffic stop on South Main Street in the Village of Liberty. The vehicle Banks was operating was stopped for violations of the vehicle and traffic law.
Subsequent investigation revealed that Banks was operating the motor vehicle in an intoxicated state. Banks was arrested without incident and was also found to be in possession of a controlled prescription substance, oxycodone. Banks was charged with felony DWI, aggravated felony DWI, both felonies, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, a misdemeanor and several traffic tickets. Banks was arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court and remanded to Sullivan County Jail without bail to appear at a later date.
