Job Corps students arrested for beating, robbing fellow student

On Sunday 5/3/15 State Police at Liberty responded to the Delaware Valley Job Corps located on Route 97 in Callicoon to investigate a report that a student had been attacked and robbed in one of the dormitories. The investigation determined that on 5/3/15 at approximately 1:30am, six male students entered the victim's dorm room while he slept, held him down, beat him with a belt and broke into a locker, stealing an Iphone and cash. The victim was treated for minor injuries at Catskill Regional Medical Center's Grover Hermann campus.

As a result of the investigation, State Police arrested Nelson Rivera, age 18 of Jersey City, NJ, Paul Andre, age 17 of Brooklyn, NY, Preston Ludd Jr, age 16 of New York, NY, Timothy Griffin, age 20 of Brooklyn, NY, Ahrkel Williams, age 20 of the US Virgin Islands, and Michael Jones, age 18 of Moorestown, NJ. All were charged with Robbery 2nd Degree a felony. All were arraigned before County Court Justice Michael McGuire and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $35,000 cash bail.
