On February 5, 2015 State Police at Liberty arrested three Grahamsville residents after an investigation into the theft of a credit card and debit card. The theft was reported to State Police on January 31, 2015. An investigation by the BCI unit at SP Liberty determined that the stolen cards had been used at various locations throughout Sullivan County. The thefts totalled more than $3000.00.
Arrested were Anthony Atkins age 28, his brother Wayne Atkins age 26, and Angela Disanto age 22, all of Grahamsville. They were charged with Grand Larceny 3rd Degree and Forgery 2nd Degree, felonies. Both Atkins were arraigned in the Town of Thompson Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of cash bail. Disanto was arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court and faces additional charges from the Village of Liberty Police Department. She was remanded to the Sullivan County Jail with no bail set. State Police investigators were assisted by detectives from the Village of Liberty PD.
