State Police at SP Wurtsboro announce the arrest of Thomas M. Strang, 26, of Mongaup Valley, New York. Troopers stopped Mr. Strang in a 1997 Dodge Van, for an inoperable license plate lamp, on Anawana Lake Road in the town of Thompson. While interviewing Strang and odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected. Field sobriety tests were administered and subsequently failed. Mr. Strang was placed under arrest and processed at the Wurtsboro barracks where a breath test was given, resulting in a BAC of .20%. Mr Strang was charged with DWI, Aggravated DWI and is to return to the town of Thompson Court on September 29, 2014.
