The New York State Police in Wurtsboro announce the arrest of Kevin M. Jewis, age 21, of Bullville, N.Y. for the felony charge of Grand Larceny 4th.

This arrest is the result of Troopers responding to a report of $2,300.00 worth of jewelry having been stolen from a residence in the Town of Mamakating. It is alleged that Jewis was a guest at the residence and while there, entered a bedroom within the residence and removed the aforementioned jewelry.

Jewis was arraigned before Town of Mamakating Town Justice Joel Welsh and committed to the Sullivan County Jail on no bail. Jewis is to return to the Town of Mamakating Court on 09/02/14 at 1:00 p.m.
