Liberty man arrested for stealing from employer

On Friday July 18th, 2014 the Village of Liberty Police Department arrested Kyle Stevens, 27 after an investigation into theft of money from a local business.
The Village of Liberty Police Department began an investigation after it was reported that Stevens had been stealing money from the Liberty Bowl bowling alley, where he was employed.
Investigation revealed that Stevens had stolen over $1,000 from the business over several months and had altered business records to conceal the theft. Stevens was charged with 33 counts of falsifying business records in the 1st degree and grand larceny in the 4th degree, all felonies.
Stevens is due in Town of Liberty Court on August 5th, 2014. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.
