Liberty State Police arrest man for mushrooms

On May 14th, 2014 State Police at Liberty arrested a West Virginia man for possessing hallucinogenic mushrooms after being stopped by Troopers for a traffic infraction. Andrew Amadei, age 28 of Morgantown, WV was stopped by Troopers on Route 17B in the Town of Bethel shortly before midnight. A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up a quantity of hallicinogenic mushrooms.

Amadei was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th Degree, along with various traffic infractions. He was arraigned in the Town of Fallsburg Justice Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $5000 cash bail or $10,000 bond with a reappearance in the Town of Bethel Court on may 19th.
