Arrests in Parksville storage facility burglary

On April 23, 2014 State Police at Liberty responded to a report of a storage unit being broken into at the American Storage facility located on Service Rd in Parksville. Guns and approximately $13,000 cash were reported stolen during the burglary. An investigation led to the arrest of Clifford Gildersleeve, age 51 of Liberty, NY and Zachary Scott, age 66 of Harris, NY.

Gildersleeve and Scott were charged with Burglary in the 3rd Degree and Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree. Both were arraigned in the Town of Liberty Justice Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail. Gildersleeve was remanded with no bail set. Scott's bail was set at $2500.00 cash. Gildersleeve was also found to have an active warrant for his arrest stemming from a prior domestic incident. As a result of the investigation and arrests, a portion of the stolen property has been recovered.
