Monticello man arrested for forged prescription

Posted

Monticello Police arrested William Scuderi (44) of Monticello on Monday 4/14/14. Scuderi was charged with felonies for forgery in the 2nd degree and criminal possession of a forged instrument in the 2nd degree.

Scuderi was arrested at 1:30 PM Monday when he attempted to have a forged medical prescription filled at the Rite Aide Pharmacy on Broadway in the village of Monticello. Scuderi had forged a medical prescription in an attempt to obtain 180 Roxicodone pills.

Pharmacy personnel were suspicious of prescription and confirmed with the doctor office where the prescription was written from that it had been in fact forged. Monticello Police were then called and Scuderi was then arrested. Scuderi was arraigned in the Town of Liberty justice court and remanded to the Sullivan county jail without bail pending further court action.
