Arrests in Honsdale thefts

Honesdale Police have concluded a month long investigation into several vehicle break-ins and thefts, all reported in the area of 11th Street. On 02-24-14 Honesdale National Bank personnel alerted Honesdale Borough Police that a payroll check belonging to one of the victims of the thefts had just been cashed at a drive-thru of their Rte 6 branch.

Within an hour and a half investigating officers had gathered information and located and arrested both Christopher Williams, 38 years of age of Honesdale and Nicole Biglin, 28 years of age also of Honesdale. They were located at the Rte 6 Plaza Texas Twp.

Williams was charged with Theft from a Motor Vehicle and Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Forgery, a Felony of the 3rd degree.

Nicole Biglin was charged with Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Forgery, a Felony of the 3rd degree, Receiving Stolen Property and Possession of a controlled Substance that being Heroin.

On 02/24/2014 both Williams and Biglin were arraigned on charges before Magistrate Ron Edwards, and remanded to the Wayne County Correctional Facility after failing to post $10,000.00 bail.

At the time of the arrest Williams was in control of a vehicle and was determined to be under the influence of a Controlled Substance with two small children in the vehicle. Charges of DUI and Endangering the Welfare of Children are pending blood results.
