Traffic stop leads to heroin bust

On February 7, 2014 at 12:30 a.m. the New York State Police in Monroe arrested Ikenna Taylor, age 34, of the Bronx, NY for three felony counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree.

Taylor was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for Vehicle and Traffic Law Violations on State Route 17 in the Town of Blooming Grove. He was found to be in possession of heroin, crack and powder cocaine.

The driver of the vehicle, Heather Edwards, age 28, of Parksville, NY, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.

Ikenna Edwards was arraigned and remanded to Orange County Jail. Heather Edwards was issued an appearance ticket and released.
