Monticello Police arrested Nicole Zydor (27) of Monticello on Wednesday 1/15/14. Zydor was charged with felony grand larceny in the 4th degree and misdemeanor petit larceny. She was also wanted by the Sullivan county sheriff office on a bench warrant for petit larceny from the Town of Thompson court.

Zydor was arrested following an investigation into the theft of a pocketbook from the Recovery Center on Hamilton Avenue in the Village of Monticello. Zydor stole the pocketbook, which contained various bank and credit cards belonging to her roommate while seeking treatment services at the Recovery Center.

Both Monticello Police and the Sullivan county Sheriff Office located Zydor walking on Bushnell Avenue at 12:00 PM on Wednesday and arrested her. Zydor was arraigned in the Village of Monticello justice court before acting village of Monticello justice Martin Miller. Zydor was remanded to the Sullivan county jail on $5,000.00 bail on the village charges and $2500.00 bail on the town of Thompson court bench warrant pending further court action.
