Monticello woman arrested for forged prescription

Monticello Police arrested Monique Morrison, 51, of Monticello on Wednesday 11/13/13. Morrison was charged with felony criminal possession of a forged instrument in the 2nd degree and misdemeanors for criminal possession of a stolen property in the 5th degree and 2 counts of petit larceny.

Morrison was arrested on Wednesday when she attempted to have a prescription for 120 percocet pills filled at the Rite Aide Pharmacy on Broadway in the village of Monticello. An investigation showed that the prescription form presented at the pharmacy by Morrison had been stolen from a physician’s office and then forged in an attempt to obtain the percocet pills.

When Morrison was arrested, officers located on her person other items, which had also been stolen from the Rite Aide Pharmacy. Morrison was arraigned in the Town of Thompson justice court and remanded to the Sullivan country jail on $7500 cash bail or $15,000 secured bond.
