Liberty woman arrested after cutting man's face with lamp

On Sunday 07/28/13 the Village of Liberty Police Department arrested Nordia Tompkins, 28 of Liberty after responding to a report of a fight in progress on Spring Street around 6:00am.

Upon arrival police found a male victim bleeding from lacerations to his face and Tompkins on scene, yelling, cursing and spitting towards both the male victim and police officers.

Investigation had revealed that Tompkins had struck the male in the face with a glass lamp, during an argument, causing injuries to his face.

Tompkins was arrested on scene and was charged with Assualt in the 2nd degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the 3rd degree, felonies and disorderly conduct and harassment in the 2nd degree violations. She was arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court and remanded to Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail.
