On 06/20/13 at approx. 12:59 p.m. the Honesdale Borough Police were dispatched to a motorcycle crash on West Park Street. Upon arrival, officers found the operator of the motorcycle to be 75-year-old William Evans Jr. of Scranton.

After talking to Evans and witnesses it was found that Evans was traveling West on West Park St. when an unidentified boy on a bicycle entered the roadway in front of him. In an attempt to avoid hitting the boy, Evans abruptly turned to the right on his 2012 Harley Davidson.

When he did, Evans ended up striking the curb on the side of the roadway causing his Harley Davidson to land on its side. Evans was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital due to injuries sustained from the crash.
