On Monday March 18, 2013, the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Gang Intelligence and Narcotics Unit arrested David D. Dookeran, age 20, of Monticello. Mr. Dookeran was the subject of a 3 month investigation into crack cocaine sales in the Town of Thompson area.

It is alleged that the suspect sold crack cocaine to an undercover deputy sheriff on two occasions. Dookeran was charged with Felony Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance and arraigned before Town of Thompson Judge Martin Miller. He was sent to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Sheriff Mike Schiff says that his office is continuing its investigation into narcotics trafficking in the Sullivan County area. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Sheriff’s confidential TIPS line at 845-807-0158.
